Evangelist Rod Raines is a former Youth Pastor &
Counselor from the Assemblies of God platform. He retained
this position for 7 years. For an additional 5
years he was Praise & Worship Leader. He is now in the ministry on
a full-time basis for the Lord.
Rod has produced and engineered thousands of
recording projects on a private and international level. STEPPING
STONE PRODUCTIONS is his recording label
company. National credits include: AT&T, Bell Atlantic, Bell
South, Ford Motor Company & Coca-Cola. He is also President of
Southern Cross Ministries, the non-profit
organization which promotes his Praise Concerts across the country.
With 89 albums to his production credit, Rod has been involved in many
Christian Television
& Radio programs, in both singing and working behind the scenes
as Executive Producer & Engineer. He has also appeared as spokesman in
112 Texas Ford Motor Company Truck Television Commercials.
Rod is an
accomplished Musician and Vocalist. He can read music,
but prefers to simply "play by ear". He has produced and engineered
over 8,000 National Radio & Television projects. God has
blessed him with the ability to play the Bass, Rhythm and Lead
Guitars, the Piano, Organ and Drums. He has even
recorded several songs playing the Banjo and Harmonica!
Rod has
performed with many well-known artists in his professional career
including Howard & Vestal Goodman, Freddy Fender, Vickie Winans,
Nicky Cruz & Kris Kristofferson. He has written numerous
business jingles and also worked in conjunction with several Miss Texas Pageants. To date, Rod has recorded
and played music on over 5,000 songs.
In 1997,
Rod was privileged to compose and produce the theme song to the movie
"A Tribute To John Wayne" which premiered in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Rod also produced, wrote and recorded the entire soundtrack to the
movie which featured a song written by film actor Robert Mitchum's
brother John, entitled "America, Why I Love Her." The song
"They Reached For The Stars" was written in honor of the deceased
crewmembers of the infamous Space Shuttle Challenger.
Houston based NASA forwarded each family member of the
Challenger's crew an autographed copy of the album in tribute of
their brave and priceless sacrifice.
Rod has completed his
9th album entitled "BEST OF".
It is a compilation of favorites from his first 8 albums. He is also producing several other artist's for both national and
international radio releases. |
